Accountant

Adecco is looking for an experienced professional for the position of an Accountant. The role requires experience in month‑end close, VAT and statutory reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration within GBS environments. Expected strong knowledge of Polish accounting and tax regulations, paired with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach and a commitment to integrity, accuracy, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

·       Independently perform accounting activities and cooperate on a day-to-day basis with the GBS.

·       Support GBS initiatives related to process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement.

·       Participate in timely and accurate month‑end close, including account reconciliations and posting journal entries in MSD.

·       Collaborate closely with other departments (AP, AR, GL, Controlling) to ensure data accuracy and process continuity.

·       Support the preparation of VAT declaration in cooperation with external tax consultants.

·       Prepare GUS reporting.

·       Maintain compliance of accounting processes with Accounting Policies, internal controls, and external regulations.

·       Cooperation with external/internal auditors.

·       Support Finance Operations Manager in the month-end-process, statutory and group reporting.

Requirements:

·       Education (i.e., university) in finance or accounting, minimum bachelor’s degree;

·       At least 3 years of professional experience in accounting;

·       Strong knowledge of the Polish Accounting Act and tax regulations, especially VAT;

·       Good command of Polish and English;

·       Knowledge of MSD will be an advantage;

·       Experience in working in international environment and with GBS will be an asset;
